Off-the-shelf blinds are sold in fixed sizes - typically jumping in 15 cm increments. If your window falls between two sizes, you choose the next one up and accept the overhang, or go smaller and tolerate light gaps at the edges.

Made-to-measure blinds are manufactured to the exact millimetre dimensions of your window. The result is a precise fit with no compromise. Light gaps vanish. The blind sits neatly inside the recess without crowding or falling short.

Fit is not just cosmetic. A blind that is too narrow lets light bleed around both sides - a real problem in bedrooms. A blind that is too wide will not sit inside the recess and must be face-mounted instead, projecting further into the room and looking improvised.
